Okay, no I didn't, but I couldn't think of a title for this post that is going to be mostly nonsense, so I picked a song from itunes and made that the title of my post.
If you're interested in the song, it's by Damien Rice. I think it's a great song, very depressing though . . . which is sort of my thing.
Now, prepare to be impressed with my amazing paintbrush drawing skills.
Today I bought Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone so I could start rereading all of them. It was $8.99. I wonder how much it cost when it first came out and nobody knew what they were buying?
This drawing is kind of what's on the front cover.
I know, it's impressive.
I don't think I can make this post any better now that you've seen the drawing, so I'll stop there.

That song is the first thing I thought of when I read the title. I own it because I shamefully watch True Blood and they used it during the credits of one episode. I also own a whole Eagles of Death Metal album because of that show and Guitar Hero. Right now though, I'm really enjoying the latest by My Chemical Romance.
Seriously though, I know everyone can draw better than me. Can you guys please stop rubbing it in?
Jon you started it! You're the one that started drawing in the first place (I'm pretty sure) so there's no one to blame but yourself. But don't blame yourself because you made us all come up with excellent pictures!
Seriously though, Madelyn, that approximation of the cover is great! I love his sweater and his little cape.
I need to listen to that song again...
the books were more expensive then because they were only available in hardcover. but word was spreading really fast--my law professor was the one to tell us about it. he found himself reading ahead even after his kids fell asleep. i went out and bought it for some 17 bucks and stayed up all night to finish.
p.s. your brother and i have all of them, so if you want to just borrow them instead of buying, that's cool too.
